About FairwayMedicare

One desk, one person reading what you send, and a written answer about the Medicare coverage open to you.

Who is behind this

I read what arrives and I answer it in plain writing

FairwayMedicare is a single desk. Every message that comes in is read by me and answered by me, and nothing is handed to anyone else along the way.

Medicare tends to arrive at an already busy point in life, carrying far more moving parts than anyone expects. Most of the guidance that reaches you comes from somebody who gains when you pick one plan over another, which makes it hard to know whose reading to trust.

I built this site so a person could send their own situation somewhere quiet and get an honest look at it back. There is no fee for that reply, no meeting to sit through, and no push to enroll in anything by the end of the week.

What you receive is a written note that sets your doctors, your medicines and your dates against the coverage available to you, with the give and take on each choice spelled out in words you already use.

From your first message to a finished review

  1. 1.

    Share your situation

Tell me which doctors you see, the medicines you take and roughly when your Medicare start date falls.

  2. 2.

    Hear back in writing

A reply lands in your inbox with notes on the plan types that suit what you shared, and nothing extra.

  3. 3.

    Compare the options

Premiums, deductibles, drug tiers and doctor lists sit side by side so each trade-off is easy to spot.

  4. 4.

    Enroll when it opens

Once you pick a plan, you get the enrollment dates that apply to you and a list of what to have ready.

Four things I weigh before a single word of the reply gets written

Your doctors

Who you already see

The names on your list decide more than people expect. Some coverage travels with you to any provider that accepts Medicare, while other plans keep you inside a fixed roster and treat anyone outside it differently.

Your medicines

What you take and how often

Prescription coverage is priced through covered lists and tiers that shift from one plan to the next. The same medicine can sit near the top of one list and near the bottom of another, and that gap shows up every month.

Your timing

When your window opens and closes

Dates narrow the field before anything else does. Knowing when your coverage is meant to begin shows which choices are genuinely open to you and which ones would have to wait for a later window.

Your budget

What a full year is likely to cost

A monthly premium is one figure among several. Deductibles, the share of each bill left with you and the ceiling on what you can spend all move the yearly total in ways a plan listing rarely makes obvious.

Nothing here signs you up for anything. The reply is yours to sit with, to set aside, or to carry to whoever you trust most. That is the whole reason for asking someone who has nothing riding on the answer you give.
